Perugia, Cattedrale Dedicata a S. Lorenzo

This space has the feel of one that has reached its current state over a period of many centuries, with each generation turning its hand to some addition or improvement. While some may object to the seemingly random character of some of the elements, I believe that long familiarity with the space would yield an understanding of why it is developed in this manner, and that the current arrangement is likely to be close to ideal for the space. It would be a fascinating undertaking to make such an analysis, and it would have to last at least a year, to permit the space to be studied during all of the seasons.
