What a luscious view, with no less than four arches in a row! This is the entrance to the city hall. The first gate is a passage under the building's bell tower. The two arches in the foreground belong to opposite sides of the same building. There is then a large open space of indeterminate nature, followed by what looks to be a relatively narrow arch in a wall, with another open space beyond, again of uncertain quality. The foreground gate probably separates the street from an interior courtyard of moderate size. The interior is more private space than the exterior, even though the general public can pass into the courtyard.
