I had seen photographs of this space for many years, until one day in 1997 when I stumbled into it and said, "I didn't know that this was here." In fact, it was slightly disappointing. It has not been as well maintained and treated as it might have been, although it is still instantly recognizable.

This is enclosure for enclosure's sake - the elliptical wall serves no other function. This alone is nearly sufficient evidence to prove that enclosure works and should be sought for its own sake.
